Zolisa Xaluva Addresses Viewer Demand for His Return to ‘Smoke and Mirrors’

Zolisa Xaluva, the talented actor who portrayed Ceasar in the popular e.tv weeknight show “Smoke and Mirrors,” has candidly acknowledged the strong viewer desire for his return to the series. Following his exit, which saw Hlomla Dandala take over the role, fans have been vocal about their wish to see Xaluva back on their screens.

“It’s no secret viewers want me back in ‘Smoke and Mirrors’,” Xaluva told TshisaLIVE. “I experienced their desire every day, either in person or on social media. Every time I step out I’m faced with a ‘why did you leave/when are you coming back?’ It feels great to know how much impact I had on the show and I’m aware of the appreciation shown by the audience.”

Xaluva explained that his departure from the show was driven by business and contractual reasons rather than any personal grievances. “I’m asked to come back every day and my departure from the show was a business/contractual one; it was never personal. I’m a businessman, if business is done right I’m keen to play. I also have a love and appreciation for that audience.”

Addressing the swirling rumors about a potential move to another e.tv show, “Isitha,” Xaluva was quick to dismiss the speculation. “The Isitha conversation is a rumor. I have not been in talks with the producers of the show and I know them personally. It’s just a rumor.”

Despite the clamor for his return to “Smoke and Mirrors,” Xaluva’s career continues to flourish. He is currently balancing his time between Cape Town and Johannesburg, where he is filming “Mzansi Magic Code 13” and the third season of “Kings of Joburg.” Additionally, he revealed an exciting new role in a Netflix series. “I’m also joining a Netflix series that had a successful first season. I’m coming in to assist them in the second installment.”

Fans of Zolisa Xaluva will undoubtedly be thrilled to see him continue to take on diverse and challenging roles, even as they hope for his potential return to “Smoke and Mirrors.”
